FLAIR MAILBAG - Secret bank accounts and fixed-term marriages
Published: Monday | May 11, 2009

HI,
Your article in the Flair, dated Monday, May 4, was very interesting.
My husband and I have been married since June 2006. We have one joint account. We both opened other bank accounts and were members of a credit union before we were married. We are planning to put each other's names on those accounts. We believe that our accounts should not be secret.
Although there is a point in what you have written about fixed-term marriages, I believe that a marriage should be until death. Once there is no unfaithfulness or abuse (to kill the other) in the marriage. The institution of marriage must be entered into with an understanding.
God bless.
