LETTER OF THE DAY - Police must stay mumon choice of leader
The Editor, Sir: I understand, but I'm not overwhelmed by police insistence that the next commissioner is best selected from among the present members of the officer corps. Furthermore, while respecting everyone's personal ambition and natural desire to reach the pinnacle...

Road traffic danger

The Editor, Sir: The ever-increasing number of fatalities on our roads is putting Jamaica's roads in the unfortunate position of being among the most dangerous roads in the world. Public transport vehicles account for the largest number of fatalities.

Parliament on waterfront

THE EDITOR, Sir: Conrad A. Jackson's idea of locating the new parliament building downtown on the waterfront is a very good idea. This will set the tone that the Government is interested and committed to revitalising downtown Kingston and bring back necessary commerce and security.

Sick and tired of C&W

THE EDITOR, Sir:I AM really sick and tired of Cable and Wireless. I am a pre-paid user and three out of five times whenever I buy credit I have to call their operator for assistance to put it on.
