'Nowhere no better than yard'
THE EDITOR, Sir: THERE ARE many Jamaicans who delight in saying negative things about the health care in 'Third World Jamaica', insisting that the care in the 'developed countries' is always better.

Ineffective police
THE EDITOR, Sir: I HAVE noticed in recent times where there are as many as six police personnel at certain traffic lights. My question is why are so many police at traffic lights just standing there doing nothing.

Setting the record straight
THE EDITOR, Sir: On Friday, September 5, 2003, you published an article entitled Norman Horne to replace McKenzie in Senate.

Covering nakedness
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE EMANCIPATION Park work of art, "Redemption Song", has rightly stimulated much discussion because of the statues' nudity.

National meltdown
THE EDITOR, Sir: FOR ONCE I would like to see Dawn Ritch write an article that speaks to the national meltdown of our country, without interjecting partisan rhetoric negatively directed toward the PNP and the Patterson administration.

Ridiculous busfares
THE EDITOR, Sir: WE WERE anticipating the increase of bus fares by the government. However, we are disspapointed because every parish seems to be doing their own thing when it comes to bus fares.

Different kinds of criminals
THE EDITOR, Sir: AS I watched on TV, police going about their lawful business being stoned in Oxford, St. Elizabeth, and read about Superintendent Blake being hit unconscious in Homestead...

Am I stuck?
THE EDITOR, Sir: AM I stuck here in this cold country or do I have an alternative? Can I still call Jamaica my home? ...
