Ineffective police
published: Wednesday | September 24, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I HAVE noticed in recent times where there are as many as six police personnel at certain traffic lights. My question is why are so many police at traffic lights just standing there doing nothing.

I have even seen where motorists ran through the red lights and the police did nothing, as not even a bike was on the scene. This must be an ineffective way for the force to utilise our policemen and women.

I am, etc.,
