Former champions Scotiabank A will face Jamaica Broilers in today's final of the Business House Netball Open competition at the Leila Robinson Courts starting at 6:15 p.m.
In the third-place play-off starting at 5:30 p.m., Scotiabank 'B' will battle RBTT. In the curtain-raiser for the knockout trophy, National Commercial Bank (NCB) oppose Heart Trust NTA at 3:45 p.m. Digicel will tackle National Housing Trust for the third place trophy.
Scotia 'A', who are unbeaten this season, defeated Jamaica Broilers 8-1 in the open rally final earlier this season, and, according to their coach Winston Nevers, he is very optimistic about his team's chances.
"We are very confident of winning this final because we have been playing good netball all season and the girls are focused on their task ahead," said Nevers. "However, we won't be taking them lightly because we know that they are a good all-round team," he added.
Nevers continued: "We have played them before and we have a good idea of their style of play and I believe that we have all the players to match them in all areas."
Scotia 'A' will be relying heavily on national representative Nichala Gibson, along with former national players Naudia Brown, Marsha Murphy and Tameika Sherwood
Meanwhile, Dorrett Williams, coach of Jamaica Broilers, said her players are ready and rearing to go.
"We are ready because both teams are evenly matched and I believe that the team that makes the least mistakes will win the game," said Williams.
Williams added that her team's preparations have been going well. However, a number of her top players have been struggling with injuries but she expects them to still give a good account of themselves.
"We are expecting a tough game from them because they are a fighting team and they also have a number of national and former national players in their team," Lee said.
National representative and goal shooter Tracey-Ann Robinson, captain Annette Jackson and Ann-Kay Griffiths are expected to lead the Jamaica Broilers charge.
