Green, a student at Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) in North Carolina, United States, and coached by Jamaican Lennox Graham, was part of Jamaica's 4x400m team, which made it to the final of the World Championships in Osaka, Japan. Green, the 2008 NCAA indoor 400m national champion, led the way for JCSU Men's Track. Green opened the 2009 indoor season with a win in the 500m and set a new Clemson facility record of 1:03.52. This season in indoor and outdoor track and field, Green has competed in the 60m, 200m, 400m, 500m, and anchor on the 4x100m and 4x400m.
