THE EDITOR, Sir: 'CRIME IS our nation's biggest problem.' A Gleaner editorial assured us of that stated fact. The thing is, the Jamaican people know this and have known for many years now.
Elated by Carib economic bloc
THE EDITOR, Sir: I NOTE the interest by the heads of Caribbean states on the start of the Caribbean economic bloc. I too am elated by this measure for our countries to relate and co-operate with one another.
Friendly Jamaicans
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WAS a recent visitor to Jamaica where I spent a one-week vacation in Westmoreland. I was absolutely delighted to meet and speak with a large number of Jamaicans who were, without exception, extraordinarily friendly.
