Let's play by the rules
published: Friday | January 6, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

EVERYBODY SEEMS to have their solution to the crime monster that is rapidly devouring our dear island and I am going to add my two cents worth. I believe that until the wanton corruption that permeates all sectors of our society is eliminated, our society will continue to spiral downward. Much of the 'special favours' that occur are not seen as corruption, but that's where it starts. What is good for the goose is good for the gander, so if you can get through with 'it', why can't I?

Change must start from the top. Everyone should be treated with respect. You treat someone with respect and he/she begins to respect himself/herself.

A new year has dawned. Let's begin to play by the rules that exist for everyone, and let the politicians start setting a good example for the rest of the country to follow.

I am, etc.,
