Tishan Lee, senior corporate communication officer of group marketing and communications division at National Commercial Bank, is a first-time mom who gained a lot of weight during pregnancy.

Last year when she became pregnant, she gained 40 pounds, moving from 110 to 150 pounds. But within two weeks of giving birth to her daughter, the 20 pounds melted away, this she credits to breastfeeding.

She currently has five pounds to go to lose all the weight she gained when she was pregnant.

Going to the gym is not a part of Lee's routine. Watching what she eats and exercising was not how she lost the weight.

"I seem to find every excuse to put it off.

Just fatigue

"Whether work, a 'must-attend' event after work, a strategically placed appointment, or just plain fatigue, there is always something that makes it impossible for me to go."

Lee said she inherited her mother's small frame so the credit for her weight loss should go to her.

She says she has plans to start going to the gym. She says she knows the importance of staying fit and energised so she can give 100 per cent to caring for her daughter.
