Thank you, Meadowbrook student

The Editor, Sir:

On Monday, June 15, I visited Thelmar's Pharmacy located in the Grace Shopping Centre (corner of Molynes Road and Seaward Drive) to make some purchases. Shortly after leaving the pharmacy, I realised that I did not have my cellphone.

I then called the number and it was answered by a very polite young man who was kind enough to wait, along with another young man, until I went back to the pharmacy to return my cellphone to me. Before saying our goodbyes, the young man who returned the phone advised that he's a grade-eight student of Meadowbrook High School.

Going against the tide

Words alone cannot fully portray my joy for knowing that despite the negativity surrounding the nation's youths, there are those who will go against the tide and do the right thing.

To the teachers and administrative body, I say keep on doing the great job you have been doing and to the young men, my heartiest appreciation again and all the best in your future studies.

I am, etc.,
