Blood donation at Bethel

The Editor, Sir:
The Bethel Baptist Church in Half-Way Tree is known for initiating programmes that have made it the envy of many churches. It did it again on Sunday, June 14, by observing World Blood Donors Day with a blood collection drive at the church after the morning services.
Great move
It was gratifying to see more than 100 members of the congregation donating blood on a day set aside to focus on the importance of blood donation. Congratulations Bethel!
I encourage more churches to take a leaf out of Bethel's book so that the Blood Bank can have adequate supply of this vital life-giving substance.
