Reno showed courage under pressure for the second match in a row when they came from two goals down to hold Arnett Gardens to a 2-2 scoreline in their Digicel Premier League encounter at the Tony Spaulding Complex on Wednesday.

The match, played before a packed pavilion, saw the home team drawing first blood. In the fifth minute, Newton Sterling scored to send the crowd into a frenzy. Then eight minutes later, he turned provider after receiving an aerial ball from Leon Strickland. He headed the pass across the goal line for Kwame Richardson to head home and double Arnett's lead.

However, Reno fought back well and were level soon after following a brace from Fabian Blake. Blake first fired home from 18 yards in the 26th minute and then in the 31st, he again silenced the crowd with an almost identical strike to level the scores at 2-2.

Poor finishing

Both teams tried hard to get the clincher in the second half. Reno were led by Blake, Renorio Downswell, Gary McIntosh, Nicholy Findlayson and captain Patrick Graham. However, poor finishing prevented them from scoring.

For Arnett Gardens Loxley Thomas, Leon Strickland, Cornel Chin-sue and veteran Oniel Robinson played well; however, they fail to break the deadlock.

On Sunday, Reno had also rallied from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Harbour View.

Technical director of Reno, Wendel Downswell, said it was a good game.

"We came on the road knowing that we could not afford to lose and with tenacity and good play, we came out getting a point. It is good that we drew the match but it is our plan to get at least eighteen points on the road and this is just a start."

Arnett Gardens player/coach Fabian Davis said complacency robbed the team of three points.
