Left: An earth-tone pants suit combined with a green camisole, transforms Angelina into the corporate woman. It is accessorised with green and gold jewellery and she steps it up a notch with pointed toe pumps and a clutch. Right: Store owner, Angelina Rowe, says sequins are hot for the Christmas season, and here she 'blings out' in two shades of gold, using a lighter gold (shoes and purse) to complement her dazzling dress.

Being fashionable doesn't have to mean driving miles and walking for hours. For Portmore residents, this is true as they are fortunate to have several fashion boutiques in their city.

Regarded as the Sunshine City, Portmore in St Catherine is holding its own in the fashion sphere with the increase in the number of boutiques that appeal to the needs and tastes of residents. If there is one single item that is required, you will find it in one of the many stores in Portmore.

Top brands

For those inclined to purchase brand-name pieces, Fashionista in the Portmore Town Centre is one of the stores to check out. It features designs from DKNY, House of Deréon, BCBG, Jessica Simpson, among other top brands. The store has been in operation since 2006, catering to males and females, with outfits for all occasions. Almost a one-stop store, accessories and handbags are also available.

Store owner, Angelina Rowe, recently showed Flair some of the store's trendy pieces.

Shop #34, Portmore Town Centre

Left: It is often said that every woman should own a little black dress and Angelina shows just how to wear one. Highlighted with silver accessories, this dress could be worn to an evening function such as a cocktail party. Right: Layers are perfect for camouflaging problem areas on the body, thus giving women a sense of confidence. For an evening out, have no reservations about indulging as this dress gives you that extra coverage.
