The Terrace at Susie's is one of Kingston's most charming eateries. The open-air terrace dining space has the elegance of a French brasserie, but its warmth and friendliness are distinctly Jamaican.

For this their third year of participation in the Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week, the Terrace at Susie's will present a Polynesian-themed menu, which, by nature of Polynesian cuisine, will include pineapple, papaya, and coconut flavoured dishes. "The main thing is that we are going with eating for a healthier lifestyle," explains Susan Hanna, proprietor. So all Restaurant Week diners will be served a complimentary side salad with their order. There will also be a vegetarian option on the menu, and even a separate children's menu is to be introduced.

The dining experience promises to be exquisite, but certainly not stuffy. There will also be live music on the Terrace every night during Restaurant Week as is customary at Susie's.

So come with friends, family or your beau/belle and enjoy their stylish take on casual dining. The dress code is casually elegant as "we like to be inclusive", explains Hanna. "We want everyone to come and feel relaxed and comfortable," she continues, "Last year was really great, so the staff are looking forward to it."

The Terrace at Susie's is open every day from noon, until the last guest leaves.
