WESTERN BUREAU:

Spine-tingling spooky fun and outrageous personas replaced inhibitions, as the most exciting socialites in Montego Bay donned creative costumes at Groovy Grouper's Halloween party last Saturday.

Dressed as ghosts, witches, goblins, vampires, superheroes, seductresses and even pirates, costume-wearers were outnumbered by contemporary outfits at the ghoulish calendar event.

Ann Chang and Ray Therrien, the consummate couple, came as the hilarious, made-for-television 'John and Kate plus eight', and were probably the most attention-grabbing. While, a pregnant Carla Dear, dressed as a delightful nurse, provided extra care for her husband, Ian 'Dr E Stein' Dear.

Lilliana Valles and her Spanish crew took revellers down memory lane with their Grease outfits, while winners of the best costume 'Fruit of the Loom' girls, Chinyre Nwaogwugwu and Suki Kaphi created waves.

With a number of other parties planned for the small city, those who were at Groovy Grouper had a whale of a time.
