A pulsating and exciting encounter is expected today when former champions Scotiabank 'A' (BNS) battle Jamaica Broilers in the final of the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA)/Business House competition at the National Indoor Sports Complex, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The match will be preceded by several other finals. In the Intermediate B decider, VMBS Group will challenge Jamaica Infrastructure Operators at 4 p.m., while in the Intermediate A final, Wisynco Group face National Housing Trust at 5:15 p.m.

The Gleaner will oppose Wray and Nephew in the Junior League final at 3 p.m.

The Gleaner are firm favourites to lift their first Business House trophy, this after defeating Wray and Nephew by nine goals in the preliminary round.

The North Street-based team will be led by goal shooter Sophia Davis-Johnson, goal attack Michelle Currey, goalkeeper Nicolette McLeary, centre Kadeen Graham and goal defence Allison Davis.

In the feature game BNS, who defeated Jamaica Broilers twice in the preliminary round, are looking to notch the third title.

"I am very confident because we know that we are playing good netball," said BNS coach, Winston Nevers, who is also the coach of Berger Paints Super League champions Jamalco.

He added: "We are not going to take them lightly because this is a final and if we don't perform to the best of our abilities on the day we are going to lose."

BNS will be depending heavily on their experience trio of national representative Nichala Gibson, former national player Marsh Murphy and Naudia Brown, as well as Viola Francis and Tamieka Sherwood.

Dorrett Williams, coach of Jamaica Broilers, said despite her team's previous defeats to BNS they remain confident.

"The players are confident and I think that if we go out and play our style then we should win," said Williams.

"I expect my team to come out and play good netball because we don't have anything to lose and our girls are ready and raring to go."

Captain Annette Jackson and Ann-Kay Griffiths are expected to lead the Jamaica Broilers charge.
