Sponsors Red Stripe are delighted with this year's inaugural staging of the all-island Twenty20 cricket competition and are already making plans to make next year's edition more exciting for players and spectators.
Brand Manager Safia Cooper was thrilled with her company's involvement with the competition and shared that it provided the beverage giants the opportunity to connect with its customers at the community level.
Said Cooper: "Overall, we think it's a very good programme that allowed Red Stripe to reconnect to the communities that the matches were held and once more get involved with cricket. It was a new experience for our consumers, who are always looking for new experiences."
They are, however, hoping to get more fans involved at the games next season and are already drafting up a plan to make this happen.
Cooper was also pleased with the reaction from the cricketing public and their partnership with the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA).
"Our overall plan going into next year will be towards generating much more interest and consumer participation at matches. We found that some areas were very strong, but going into next year we will be looking at how we can drive consumers into the matches and make it attractive for them," Cooper stated.
"We have a very great partnership with the JCA. The feedback has been positive from them, the consumers, the diehard cricket fans were out there, and even the new ones that came into cricket through Twenty20 have expressed their joy at a brand coming on board with cricket and supporting it the way that we have," said Cooper.
"It has been a win-win for everybody. We will be taking our experiences from this inaugural staging and using it to renew the interest in cricket and Twenty20."
