I found out years ago when I tried it (still not sure why) that the areas itched a lot when the hair was growing back and that, in fact, I seemed to sweat more. I later learned that it was not that I was sweating more, but that hair traps the sweat. When there is no hair, I seemed to produce more sweat. Antiperspirant works for underarms, I don't know of any for the pubic area.

I suspect a lot of men are now shaving their armpits and pubic area in particular because they have been influenced by these women's magazine articles saying it is more appealing to the eyes and also from watching porn.

Porn stars often shave or shape their body hair for a cleaner look. It is also said that the shaved look in men helps to convey the impression of being more endowed.

Black and ugly in Jamaica

I was inspired to write this email after reading several articles from various websites pertaining to the new Miss Jamaica World.

I was one of the first to say, hey, a Jamaican is a Jamaican and we as the Jamaican public should give the new queen our love and support.

However, after reading a few of the online posts, I started to do some research and I was left with more questions than answers. Why is it that the majority of Miss Jamaica Worlds have been representative of those among us with primarily African ancestry?

Am I to think the black women in this country are less beautiful and less intelligent? What is the message to our young, black girls? To be beautiful you have to be very brown or white? And we wonder why there is a bleaching epidemic on this island.

Why is it that the less someone sounds like a Jamaican when he/she speaks, the more intelligent that person is perceived to be in our society? I argue that you can speak the queen's English and still maintain a Jamaican accent. This girl is as Jamaican as the cast of Cool Runnings.

The Miss Jamaican World pageant is just another example of the mental slavery that is still so pervasive in the society. The recent crowning and the past winners of the contest perpetuate the self-hate and inferiority complex of the black man in his pursuit of the white ideal.

Do you think Usain Bolt could date Miss Jamaica World and her parents would approve of it? Pre and post fame? No, you mad!
