I read with horror and dismay, the irresponsible thinking of this new minister of national security. Never in my life have I ever read such a masterpiece of documentary garbage.

Mr Minister, have you given any thought to what kind of anarchy and or chaos this reserve force would create in a society that is already over-ridden by crime and violence? Also, the administrative costs that would be associated with creating this entity? Whatever happened to the Island Special Constabulary Force (ISCF)? My humble suggestion, before you manifest, is to open a police university to train the existing Jamaica Constabulary Force and ISCF members to college level education. Also, if you can find people for this civilian force, why not recruit them and conduct a proper antecedent report.

Please do not bring back the home guards with a different name.
