Syrup, whipped cream and hot bodies

Robin Hood gets these women 'hot under the collar' at Male Revue in Montego Bay last Sunday. - Contributed

What do you get when you put a bunch of women in a room with half-naked hunks who have washboard abs? Male Revue-Mardi Gras.

Carlos' Café, on Belmont Road in St Andrew, was a rush of testosterone and oestrogen last Saturday as women poured into the venue adhering to the dress code: seductive elegance. By 8 p.m., all the seats were occupied with anxious women ready to let down their hair and just be themselves. And though the show started 90 minutes late, they waited and waited. The free hypnotic shots given upon entry helped everyone to relax.

Some of the women told Flair their boyfriends did not know where they were and would not approve. Others were there with their husbands' blessings.

Muscular frame

A little after 9 p.m., Robin Hood hit the stage to deafening screams as his tall, muscular frame wiggled out of his cape. Hungry fingers reached out to trace the ripples of his well-toned body. A few lucky women were more than happy to share the stage with him, gyrating and dry humping.

Sir Cox-a-Lot was very involved in his routine. After stripping down to a pair of red briefs with the words 'Red Hot' on the back, he took his performance to the women at the back for them to get a better view.

But it was Adonis from New Jersey who had the women melting and salivating. He entered the stage in his pilot ensemble, sending the women into a frenzy. Cellphones and cameras snapped uncontrollably and women went wild as he stripped down, showering the two lucky volunteers onstage with rose petals. A hot guy who is also romantic and armed with whipped cream; what else could a girl want?

If Adonis had them melting, Blade set them on fire. He was the man of mystery who showed the women exactly what they had been waiting all night to see. But Jamaican Sensation seemed to be the crowd favourite. And he did not fail to delight, showing why he was the reigning Mr Jamaica Caribbean.

Took it all off

The chain wrapped around his torso was just an indication of what lay below the waist. He took it all off to screaming women who grasped and clawed. The night ended in a frenzy with every woman trying to get a taste.

Robin Hood has been stripping for two years after a friend introduced him to it. He told Flair that by nature he's a shy guy. "I'm a shy person. I still get nervous when I'm to do a show (but), I think it's good to get the blood flowing." He notes that men have their strip clubs so it's good to have male dancers for females.

His friends and family know that he dances and have no problem with it, though he concedes that his mother does not know that he 'dances'. How does he feel with dozens of women screaming for him? "Ah, I get a rush that I don't think anyone can explain." He also has no problem with the groping. "You're there like a grab bag. It's all about pleasing the audience. Even if I'm having a bad day, you wouldn't know."

When he's not onstage, Robin Hood is a personal trainer and breeds dogs. His girlfriend of seven years is OK with what he does but has never been to one of his shows. "I reassure her that nothing passes what it should."
