CTL Portmore dominomarks final round

The 21st and final round of matches in the CTL-sponsored Portmore/St Catherine domino league will be played tomorrow with the eight quarter-finalists having been decided from last Sunday's penultimate round. Eagle View, the only unbeaten team in the competition, made it 20 in a row last Sunday when they crushed Westchester 300-193 in a home match at Old Braeton. Eagle View have been winning impressively all season and it is left to be seen whether they can keep their unblemished record tomorrow when they play away to second-place Fort International at Passagefort.

The top eight qualifiers for the May 3 quarter-finals are (in order): Eagle View with 80 points from 20 matches, followed by Fort International with 74, Eradication in third with 67, Masterpiece fourth with 66, Caribbean Classic fifth with 63, Ackee Pod sixth with 60, ISCF seventh with 59, and Prozz and Conzz eighth with 59 from 20 matches, but having lost to ISCF in their only meeting makes them the eighth-seeded team.

Results of matches played last Sunday are as follows: Ackee Pod beat Lime Tree 300-266, Masterpiece defeated Right Stuff 300-273, ISCF whipped Marlie Mount 300-254, Prozz and Conzz beat Ken's Wildflower 300-285, Correctional Services got by Old Harbour Bay 300-260, while Fort International gained a walk-over from home team Old Harbour United, who surprisingly, failed to find sufficient players to form a team.
