Police hunt truck driver
Up to late yesterday, the police were still searching for the driver of the garbage truck which ran over and killed a newspaper vendor in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew hours earlier.

Knight sparks barbs in Senate

SHARP BARBS were a feature of Friday's sitting of the Senate and old-timer K.D. Knight was at the centre of it. Knight, who has taken a liking to Attorney General and Minister of Justice Dorothy Lightbourne, found himself on the receiving end of some harsh treatment from some government Senators after poking at her.

The initial concept of commercialising breadfruit production bore fruit last Wednesday when the closing ceremony for the first leg of Northern Caribbean University's (NCU) Breadfruit Commercialisation Project was held at the Ministry of Agriculture's Orange River Research Station in Highgate, St Mary.

Changing of the guard - High school principal calls it a day after 13 years

The reins at the Guy's Hill High School in St Catherine will be handed over come September, as Principal Timothy Bailey will be going into retirement. His replacement will be Irwin Small.
