'Cast them out' - CAFFE wants Warmington, Montague dismissed
A call by observer group Citizens Action For Free and Fair Elections (CAFFE), for two junior government ministers to resign in the wake of recent comments on the political stage, has been immediately dismissed by one of those named.

Public says farewell to hero

It was an emotional moment as well as one of excitement for those who came out yesterday to view the body of Jamaican sports legend Herb McKenley, at the National Arena. Tears flowed unabated for those who personally knew the sports icon.

Smith to address concerns of Montego Bay cops

National Security Minister Derrick Smith has said that concerns raised by the police in the St. James division would be addressed by next Monday. At the same time, the minister has expressed surprise at comments made by the Police Federation.

More murders in Clarendon

Despite the presence of military personnel at Clarendon hot spots such as Water Lane, Canaa Hayes and Palmers Cross over the past few days, the murder toll in the parish continues to rise. The most recent killings occurred between Thursday night and yesterday morning in Hayes and Canaan Heights.

Jamaican government to 'scale' down overloaded vehicles

The Government has announced plans to resume checking the weight of laden vehicles on the country's road network shortly. This measure is in a bid to reduce road damage caused by overloaded trucks and trailers, according to Government senator Desmond McKenzie.

Chang's life threatened

The police have reportedly increased the security around a senior Government minister, as there are concerns about his safety.
