Chang's life threatened
published: Saturday | December 8, 2007

Chang

The police have reportedly increased the security around a senior Government minister, as there are concerns about his safety.

Minister of Water and Housing, Dr. Horace Chang, told The Gleaner yesterday that the police in Montego Bay had informed him of a plot to take his life.

Dr. Chang said he did not know why anyone would be targeting him.

Asked whether he was concerned about his security, Dr. Chang said, "One has to be alert," pointing to the current homicide rate in Jamaica.

A senior police officer in St. James refused to comment on the reported threats on the life of Dr. Chang.
