LETTER OF THE DAY - Justice, jury, and authority
THE EDITOR, Sir: JUSTICE IS analogous to psychological constructs such as fear and anxiety, in as far as measurement is concerned. Justice cannot be measured directly because it is abstract in nature.

God is the answer
THE EDITOR, Sir: I MUST applaud you, Melita, for your article entitled 'Taking back our country'. Jamaica has the highest murder rate in the world, based on its population size.

Support for medical visit
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WRITE to express appreciation to the following companies and persons who, through their financial contributions or support, made the recent visit of Professor Jacob Langer to Jamaica a complete success.

Truly a miracle
THE EDITOR, Sir: 'OPERATION MIRACLE' is truly a miracle, so said our country's ambassador to Cuba. One Jamaican patient who was able to see again after an eye operation said the experience was like being in heaven.
