Alia Atkinson gave a scintillating display to dismantle the field to win the women’s breaststroke 50 metres and 100 metres event at the Arena Pro Series in Orlando, Florida last night.

Atkinson swam to 31.31 seconds, to win the women’s 50 metres.

This is the fastest in the world this year, beating the 31.47 seconds set by Sophie Taylor.

Atkinson then returned to set the fastest time in the world in the 100 metres event with a time of 1:06.79 seconds, equaling her fourth place performance at the London 2012 Olympics.
