MY DOWN TIME with ...John Issa

One of the island's leading hoteliers and a pioneer of the all-inclusive concept, businessman John Issa was bestowed with an honorary Doctor of Laws degree at the University of The West Indies, Mona campus graduation ceremony, on Saturday, November 7.

With such a busy schedule, Outlook asked Dr Issa how he spent his time away from the cut and thrust of corporate affairs.

What is the title of the last book you read?

Ken Jones' book Notes, Quotes and Anecdotes, Bustamante.

Whose music are you listening to now?

Rod Stewart's American Song Book.

Where was the last interesting place you visited and why did you find it so?

Buzios in Brazil, south of Rio, where we will be opening a new Breezes Resort next year. It is a most charming stylish small resort town with a Mediterranean flavour and lots of small shops and restaurants. It known as the San Tropez of Brazil.
