Mixed fortune for Girls

Jamaica's Sunshine Girls suffered their third defeat in the Fast Net World Championships, going down 27-24 to hosts England in Manchester yesterday.

However, the Connie Francis-coached side bounced back later in the day in their second encounter to beat Malawi 30-25.

Jamaica have now won two games from their five matches. They were beaten by Australia and New Zealand in their opening games on Friday.

In other games yesterday, England recorded their fourth consecutive victory with a stunning 25-19 win over Australia.

The Sunshine Girls will face Australia today at 1:p.m. (7 a.m. Ja time), England will oppose New Zealand at 1:45 p.m. (7:45 a.m Ja time) and Malawi will tackle Samoa at 2:30 p.m. (8:30 a.m. Ja time).
