GlaxoSmithKline, through its world-renown brand Lucozade Sports, extended their sponsorship agreement with Harbour View Football Club (HVFC) by two years to July 2012, at a new high level of $2 million, equally shared in cash and products.

The company's marketing manager, Robeth Streete, announced the sponsorship extension from the centre of the playing field in Sunday's high-profile Digicel Premier League game against Portmore United, which Harbour View won 1-0.

Streete, whose company has an existing three-year deal with HVFC, also made a special individual award to its physical trainer, Andrew 'Bowa' Hines, who is now attending a FIFA seminar in Trinidad and Tobago, which begun yesterday and ends on October 12.

Among Lucozade Sports' incentives are Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards for each of the club's 16 home games, where a player's contribution to victory will earn him a $3,000 cash prize and a gift bag of products.

Kemar Petrekin won the first award for scoring the winning goal against August Town, whom they defeated 1-0, while on Sunday night, national central defender, Dicoy Williams, won the MVP Award.

Branded polo shirts and hats were distributed, while a mobile drum, igloos and 50 squeeze bottles were presented to the Harbour View team, while billboards, two signboards and feather banners with buntings, were some of the Lucozade Sports branding at the stadium.
