Positive impact

In paying tribute, Lightbourne recalled the positive impact Andrade had on the legal profession throughout his career at the Public Bar, and the high level of professionalism and objectivity which he brought to the Office of the DPP, where he served as director for more than a decade.

Andrade will also be remem-bered for his consistent and unwavering support for the Justice Training Institute of the ministry, where he was a tutor for a number of years.

"Jamaica has lost another brilliant member of the legal profession, but we must give thanks for his creativity and abundance of talent, which enriched the justice system immeasurably," Lightbourne said. "My thoughts and prayers are with the Andrade family during this difficult time, especially with his wife, Ruby."
