Just like mustard vs ketchup on a hot dog or a scary movie vs a comedy in the cinema, everyone has their own favourite gadget that perfectly suits their style and needs. With so many tech devices on the market and with the increased resource availability the Internet provides, how are consumers to choose what gizmo is right for them? Techno Tease asks Mikki-Ann Martin, an avid gadget lover, what keeps you connected?

What's your favourite gadget?

My Apple iPod Touch.

When did you get it and where?

I got it for Christmas '08 from my mom. She bought it from Apple online.

What makes it your favourite gadget?

Besides its apps, it has my name engraved on the back. By buying it online, my mom was given that option.

What are its special features?

First of all, it has 8GB worth of storage space, which is great. It has WiFi so I can connect to the Internet for free wherever there's a hot spot. It has millions of games and I can always download more so I never get bored. The iPod Touch also allows me to watch everything from music videos (like single ladies from Beyoncé ... one of my favourites) to full-length movies. It's pretty and advanced. It also has some fun but weird apps for a device essentially made to be an MP3; it can measure if a wall is straight. And how could I forget, it's touch screen!

How would you improve your gadget?

The only thing the iPod Touch is missing is a camera.

If you had to trade in your iPod Touch for another MP3, what would it be?

I'd pick a Sony Zune. It doesn't really match up but (I would) if I had no choice.
