Like they did in TCL Group WICB Under-19 West Indies three-day and one-day championships, Jamaica's young cricketers were the toast of the events' awards ceremony, picking up four of the nine available awards.

Topping the list of awardees was Kingston College leg-spinning all-rounder, Akeem Dewar, who pocketed the challenge's overall Most Valuable Player prize, for guiding Jamaica to victory in both competitions over Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados, respectively.

Dewar finished fourth in the bowling category and10th in the batting equivalent of the three-day championship. He took 27 wickets from four matches at a meagre average of 11.48, including a 10-wicket match haul and two five-wicket innings hauls, and had a best bowling performance of 7-43.

In the batting department, he scored 241 runs in his four outings, at an excellent average of 241, including three not out innings, a century, a half-century and a topscore of 118 not out.

Most Outstanding Batsman

Others to share in the spotlight were Tacky High opener John Campbell who snared the Most Outstanding Batsman award in the one-day competition, Moneague College's left-arm spinner, Patrick Harty Jr, who copped the Most Outstanding Bowler prize in the three-dayers, and Clarendon College wicketkeeper, Kirk Harris, who collected the Most Outstanding Wicketkeeper award, also in the three-dayers.

The remainder of awards went to Guyana's Trevon Griffith and Trinidad and Tobago's, Evin Lewis, who walked away with the Most Outstanding Batsman and Fielder respectively, in the three-dayers.

The one-dayers, meanwhile, saw Trinidad and Tobago leg-spin all-rounder, Yannick Carriah, claiming the Most Oustanding Bowler accolade, Barbadian Kejel Tyson, the Most Outstanding Fielder equivalent and the Leeward Islands Jahmar Hamilton, the Most Outstanding Wicketkeeper.
