Anderson finished sixth in the 200m final at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, this after he had earlier recorded a personal-best 20.06 in the semi-finals. A former William Knibb Memorial High and St Jago High student, Anderson after an unsuccessful Beijing Olympics, which saw him been affected by injuries, returned to train with local coach Glen Mills at Racers Track Club, the home of world triple record-holder Usain Bolt. At last month's National Championships, Anderson finished third in the men's 200m and fourth in the 100m to book his place on Jamaica's team to Berlin.
