'Bring vibes to Port Maria

He came strolling down the lane in full white. The moment he saw the Gleaner vehicle, his ears perked up. Larnel Campbell, known as Mongoose, his stage name, is a young DJ trying his thing in Port Maria.
"My style always different. Mi not even haffi say nutt'n. From mi touch di stage, di place mash up! Mi all have a different walk fi every day a di week," he said, before showing us his 'Friday' walk.
He has appeared on shows such as Follow Di Arrow and St Mary Mi Come From but he doesn't get to show his talents much in the capital.
"No wheh no deh yah. Wi need entertainment spots inna Port Maria. Sometimes you want a show and haffi go a Ochi and it cost you because yu haffi find transportation," he said.
Restrictions in the capital aside, Mongoose is staying active. His last show was Fully Loaded and he recently returned from a small tour in Miami. One of his latest tunes is Come Mek Wi Reason which has been getting good airplay.
