Weeks after leaving Holmwood, Wilkins quickly booked her spot on Jamaica's team for the Beijing Olympics. She moved on to team up with Shericka Williams, Novlene Williams and Shereefa Lloyd to take Jamaica to the final of the 4x400m. She, however, was replaced for the final by Rosemarie White, but Jamaica did enough for bronze. Over the years, she has proven herself as one of the country's top juniors, running very good times in the 400m and 800m, but it was her determination over the one-lap event, which helped her to represent Jamaica at several international meets.
