AJ right about regional court

The Editor, Sir:

I would like to thank Senator A. J. Nicholson very much for bringing the matter of the Government's "deafening silence on CCJ" to the forefront in his Sunday column (July 19).

I find it absolutely disheartening, and frustrating that our government wishes to turn a blind eye to us gaining absolute independence from the land of Her Majesty, despite all the mistreatment that is meted out to all Jamaicans because of the misbehaviour of a few.

I find it sad that they do not seem committed to the integration movement, which, for those with some form of realistic and inspired vision, is the only way for our countries and our region to move on up on the world ranking scales. An integrated Caribbean has so much promise for creation of more jobs and more industries, simply geared towards maintaining strong and reliable communication and transport links between the countries.

Lack of vision

Keep this issue in the forefront and call the Government out for their lack of vision, and macabre attachment to neo-colonialism coupled with a strange nationalism.

I am, etc.,

JOHN SMITH
