My downtime ... with Lance Parrish

As manager of Hedonisim III, in Runaway Bay, Lance Parrish has his hands full managing one of SuperClubs flagship hotels. But when he has some quiet time, here's what he does to unwind.

What's the last book you have read?

Well, I am reading the Manley Memoirs which I find to be a very interesting and educational read. It is more than a memoir; it also encompasses much of our cultural history, political history, and social mores of Jamaica. I actually had a crush on Beverley Manley when I attended high school. At the time she was a radio announcer. I thought she was a very regal, commanding woman who wasn't afraid to voice an opinion in a time when men usually took centrestage.

What was the last CD you bought?

Well, I am very fortunate to have a son who is a disc jockey, so he generally makes all my CDs for me. The type of music I like to listen to, however, would be rhythm and blues more than anything else.

What was the last interesting place you visited?

My job involves a lot of company travel, and I am fresh back from a sales trip in and around the United States. However, I really found London to be an extremely interesting place to visit as the city still has so much tradition to offer and very cosmopolitan, where you meet people from all walks of life.
