Barbadian Cheri-Ann Parris and Joe Chapman of the British Virgin Islands (BVI), both served up courageous performances and copped the major individual senior titles at the Caribbean Junior Squash Championship on Monday night.

Barbadian Parris scored an emotional revenge win over defending champion and Girls' Under-19 top seed Kerrie Sample, of Trinidad and Tobago (T&T), in five terrific games.

Chapman also needed five games to fend off Cayman's Cameron Stafford in the Boys' U19 final.

Guyana and Jamaica both picked up two titles each in the lower age groups as the individual championship ended at the Barbados Squash Club.

Parris prevailed in a magnificent win 5-11, 11-2, 9-11, 11-7, 12-10 over the England-based Sample.

Chapman beat Stafford 9-11, 8-11, 11-7, 11-7, 11-6.

Keisha Jeffrey and her Guyanese teammate Victoria Arjoon justified their No.1 seeding to score in the U17 and U15 finals.

Jeffrey beat Ashley Khalil 11-6, 11-4, 11-1 in an all-Guyana Girls' U17 final and Arjoon, up in age group after back-to-back U13 titles the last two years, outgunned Jamaican Jessica Perkins 11-6, 11-3, 11-7 in the Girls' U15 decider.

Jamaicans swept both U13 titles.

Top seed Mary Jo Mahfood beat Barbadian Gylla McKenzie, the second seed, 11-2, 11-8, 11-9 in the Girls' final and Jake Mahfood, the No. 2 seed, upset top seeded Nku Patrick, of T&T, 11-7, 12-10, 11-8 in the Boys' U13 final.

Team competition began yesterday morning and in two Boys' results, Bermuda beat Jamaica 3-2 and champions Guyana beat Cayman 3-2, while T&T flattened Cayman 5-0 in a Girls' match.
