CCJ sidelined?

The Editor, Sir:

What has happened to the Caribbean Court of Justice? I have observed with much frustration as our so-called leaders sit by and allow the Privy Council in England to run Jamaica's judicial system.

When will these 'leaders' come to realise that this Privy Council means Jamaica no good, and is determined to prove that black people cannot govern themselves?

I can't help feeling very angry when I see case after case overturned in England and murderers walk free to continue their mayhem and wanton destruction of our country.

Land of forgetfulness

Meanwhile, the Caribbean Court of Justice seems to have gone to the land of forgetfulness. What do they (the Privy Council) know about the vicious murders that the Jamaican and Caribbean people have to deal with day after day?

I know that there are many of our 'leaders' who suffer from an inferiority complex which makes them think that only white people from England can govern us. I think it's high time the Jamaican people got rid of these wimps and vote in people who have confidence, intelligence and foresight to lead our country forward.

I am, etc.,
