Jamaica's Reggae Boyz kick off the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament with a Group A match against Canada at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, California, this evening at 7 (5 California time).

The Boyz, who are seeking their first Gold Cup title, are in what has been dubbed 'the Group of Death'.

The other two countries in the group, Costa Rica and El Salvador, will contest the feature encounter at 9 p.m. (Ja time).

Captain Ricardo Gardner and his Boyz are confident of putting on a grand performance.

"It's a very important tournament for us, especially as we missed out on the World Cup," said Gardner.

"It's very important to get something from it."
