LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (CMC):

Jamaican jockey Shaun Bridgmohan produced a double at Churchill Downs on Sunday to continue his steady climb through the standings at the celebrated southern United States racetrack.

He clinched race eight aboard the two-year-old bay colt Enumerate and returned two races later to win with the three-year-old chestnut colt Cairiene.

Fifth place

The brace of winners took him to fifth in the standings on 37 wins, just one adrift of the fourth-place Miguel Mena and two behind the third-place Robby Albarado on 39 wins.

Julien Leparoux leads the standings with 61 winners, with Calvin Borel eight behind in second.

Bridgmohan was forced to wait until late on the 10-race card before he could find his first success.
