Wilson

Kingstonian Karen Wilson is one of seven future lawyers participating in the Summer Associate Programme at Archer & Greiner, P.C in Haddonfield, one of New Jersey's 10 largest law firms. The Immaculate Conception High School graduate is a third-year law student at Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Wilson is returning to the firm for a second summer, having participated in the programme last year, and will continue to expand her legal education by working hands-on with attorneys, staff and clients.

Mentor

Each summer associate gets paired with a full-time associate who serves as a mentor, advising the student on research techniques, case preparation and areas of their soon-to-be-profession. Wilson is paired with Renee Simeone, an associate in the firm's commercial litigation practice group.

The Summer Associate Programme is the most important source of associate hiring at Archer & Greiner. In order to avoid creating a competitive environment during the summer, the firm bases the number of summer associates hired on the projected associate hiring needs for the fall following graduation. The goal is for each summer associate to succeed and ultimately join Archer & Greiner as an associate.
