LONDON (CMC):

Organisers of the London Super Grand Prix this summer have confirmed that sprint marvel Usain Bolt of Jamaica will be one of their star attractions.

Bolt captured the hearts of fans when he won gold in the men's 100 metres and 200m at the Beijing Olympic Games in world record times and also triumphed in record time in the 4x100 relay with Jamaica.

He is now going through early season preparation for what he anticipates will be another successful year.

Bolt is aiming for glory at the World Championship in Berlin this summer and the London Super Grand Prix on July 24 and 25 will be one of his build-up events.

"I'm definitely looking forward to running in London," he said.

"London is a great meet and the fans there really get behind everyone. I normally base myself there during the summer, so it is like a second home.

"As usual, there will be strong competition, but I guess that's what I'll need ahead of the World Championships."

This will be the first time that Bolt will be running the dash in London and this will be his last event before the World Championships three weeks later.

Bolt has dominated the 200 in London for the last two years, running 19.76 seconds last year to record the fastest time ever over that distance in Britain.

"Last year at Crystal Palace, I felt great running the 200," he said. "To win there in such style gave me a lot of pleasure.

"That helped to build my confidence towards achieving the three gold medals in Beijing a few weeks later. I'm sure I'll be able to put a show on for the fans."
