LEICESTER, England (CMC):

Boosted by a good start to the tour, left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn said yesterday he would be looking to add to his success in the remaining warm-up matches in preparation for the upcoming Test series.

The gangling slow bowler snatched four for 31 as West Indies bundled out Leicestershire for 182 on the opening day of the tourists' first tour match at Grace Road.

"Conditions are different all over England but this is very good preparation for the Test matches and I will be looking to do even better in the other warm-up matches," Benn said afterward.

Benn, who also troubled the England batsmen on the recent tour of the Caribbean, bowled with superb control and accuracy, prising out four of the six top-order batsmen.

He was partnered by fast bowler Andrew Richardson, who claimed three for 46 in his first outing in West Indies colours.

Benn, who has taken 20 wickets in seven Tests, said despite his haul yesterday, he was taking the tour in stride.

"It felt good to be back out in the middle playing for the West Indies and to have the red ball in my hand," said the 27-year-old Barbadian.

"It is always good to put in a good performance but I am not going to get too far ahead of myself. I'm just taking every day at a time, day by day."

At the close, West Indies were in a spot of bother at 80 for four.

West Indies are preparing for their four-Test series against the hosts which bowls off at Lord's on May 6.
