The annual Bob Marley One Love football festival will take place today at the Constant Spring playing field, beginning at 2 p.m.

The festival, which on a yearly basis honours noted Jamaican personalities - notably from the sports and entertainment arenas - is a charity event and will see a Media Invitational outfit taking on a Referees aggregation at 2 p.m, and a Masters and Celebrities team taking on an Entertainers XI in the feature game at 4 p.m.

Helping the needy

"Over the years we play these games to help basic schools, children's homes and the needy," said Clive 'Busy' Campbell, the organiser. "It's a charity event with fun and entertainment for the entire family and we invite all to come out and share."

The festival, which has over the years honoured Bunny Wailer, Leroy Sibbles, Freddy McGregor, John Holt, Tommy Cowan, Delroy Wilson, Stephen Marley and Pat Kelly, will this year do same to Toots Hibbert from Toots and the Maytals, and Derrick Harriott.
