Why the change?

1. The slogan 'It's Better in the Bahamas', some say, was the primary reason behind the cancellation or postponement of the high-profile visit. The better, here, meaning an understanding of protocol. Seems like the agreed itinerary was so doctored by local officials, it became a nightmare, the end result being the guest decided on flying to the Bahamas instead.

Whose budget?

2. Some are saying that, to make sure he made the nightly news, at least one minister had his personal cameraman over the duration of the three-day event, recording his every move! The question most are asking is just who or what entity paid the bill!

Unease over contracts

3. Some say he is not happy with how some recent contracts were awarded. He is now demanding intervention from the highest level.

Unhappy man

4. His friends say he is unhappy at being overlooked by his party for the post many say he is best suited for. Some say he is ready to throw in the towel.

Governance concern

5. Observers are more than a little concerned about what they say is the approach to governance, which seems to be to get rid of anyone who disagrees with your perspective. They are calling for a more consultative approach.

Crunch time

6. Seems like yet another tradition gave way in face of the harsh economic realities of less and less disposable income for entertainment. Seems like lots of friends turned up for the traditional Super Bowl festivities, only to find it was not on. They were however, redirected to another venue, where, for a fee, all could participate.

Dad of five?

7. They are now saying he is believed to have fathered as many as five offspring with those who were his juniors at the organisation.

High-end target

8. Seems like thieves are specifically targeting the high-end antique market, with at least two prominent homes burglarized recently and specific antique items removed. The usual suspects were visited, albeit discreetly, and even more discreet enquiries were made by friends purporting to be in the market for specific items, but to date, none of the items have turned up!
