The man who was convicted last month of manslaughter arising from the fatal stabbing of Anglican priest, Father Richard Johnson, was yesterday sentenced to 12 years' imprisonment.

Supreme Court judge, Norma McIntosh, in sentencing 24-year-old Prince Vale, told him that it was "greed" that landed him in his predicament. The judge said Prince was aware of the priest's sexual preference.

Prince, of Tommy Hill district, near Stony Hill, St Andrew, said he acted in self-defence when the priest was forcing him to be intimate with him.
