The Editor, Sir: Maybe what this country needs to heal itself at the present time is for all of us to go on a smile campaign.You would be surprised what a smile can do - first reaction of the person you smile with is confusion and you can see the brain...

Curried goat as national dish

The Editor, Sir: For many years the debate on the qualification for award of National Heroes has raged on. Some persons are of the view that some persons so named should not have been accorded the title, and that there are persons not so named that should have been included...

No to abortion

The Editor, Sir: I strongly disagree with aborting a foetus, whether by an adult or minor. Just to consider that a minor may make this decision is frightening because she does not know the psychological effect that will have on her in the future...

Putting inmates to work

The Editor, Sir: I applaud the Greater Portmore 100-man Police Station, as I live in proximity to the lawmen. I, too, happened to witness inmates bushing the perimeter of the station. This is an excellent move, yet there is some serious work still pending.

Public access to all beaches

The Editor, Sir: One of the greatest beach locations in the United States is Virginia Beach in the state of Virginia, which I visit whenever I am not visiting my beloved Jamaica. Virginia Beach is a wonderful beach, and many Jamaicans/Americans go there...

Mixed scorecard for the Gov't
