Booyaka exhibition, an original concept that honours reggae legends, opened on Thursday, May 1 at the National Library of Jamaica, 12 East Street in Kingston.

Booyaka's 'Wall of Fame' seeks to honour reggae greats in sound, deed and history - a collection never before assembled.

This one-of-a kind exhibition features Jamaica's reggae legends showcasing their pictures, history, hit songs and gives a synopsis of their background. This pictorial database is full of intriguing information.

These reggae icons, who have left a rich musical legacy, are recognised as Jamaica's great musical ambassadors, including Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh, Culture, Garnett Silk, Cynthia Schloss, Augustus Pablo, Jacob Miller and some of the less heralded ones like Nitty Gritty, Nicodemus, Barry Brown, Prince Fari, Hugh Mundell, Jack Ruby, Desmond Dekker, Louie Lepki and many more.

The historical exhibition is a must-see! Many of these musical giants commanded the dancehall, the street dance, the studios and the airwaves.
