LETTER OF THE DAY - No such 'recollection', says Stewart
The Editor, Sir: It was Shakespeare who said "Ambition should be made of sterner stuff". I would like to put it this way: Criticism should come from sterner stuff than Frank Pringle whose dislike for John Lynch is legendary.

Tackling abuse

The Editor, Sir: Our nation faces many critical issues that need to be addressed, but surely, close to the top of the list must be the protection of our country's future - our innocent children.

Our unsung heroes

The Editor, Sir: Recently, columnist Orville Taylor wrote an article about two of our unsung heroes, namely, Monsignor Gladstone Wilson and Bishop Gibson. I have always known that these were two great Jamaicans and also wondered when we would ever give them the honour due.

The psychology of elections

The Editor, Sir: The general election, and the anxiety which has characterised its aftermath, have gradually passed and soon, the society should be pushed into normality. However, the process of ballot counting should be reviewed as the relevant authorities reflect on the discrepancies and pitfalls of the event.
